When my teacher in literature 105 gave us a very hard task of writing a poem based on a flower, I knew I was in trouble. It was big time trouble indeed. How can someone who is not really familiar with something be able to write about it?
I thought hard, really hard. Should I invent something? Should I try to construct words straight from the dictionary, put some rhyme on it, place some meter so then I will have a poem? Should I copy and rephrase words from a poem made by somebody else? Of course I have to choose one that is not famous and one almost unknown to many people – that decreases the chance that I might get sued, filed a plagiarism case against me?
But then I thought would I risk my youth and my freedom over this project that my very beautiful professor gave us? Hell not! I thought that I’m not stupid, nor retiring to fulfill this simple project.
Of course, those are just words of encouragement from. It doesn’t matter if it was true or not, what matters is that I already pushed myself to do it. And that is a very good start on my part. If there is a problem, identifying it is the first step to solve it, and I’m done identifying it, in fact I might have over identified it!
Anyway I thought of how will I inspire myself to write this poem, and then it hit me, I might be able to write about a poem on that flower – and no, I will surely be able to write a poem about a flower, or about flowers (if I turned lucky) if and when I see one! Not that I haven’t seen a flowers in my life, I’m seventeen and I surely saw a lot of flowers before.
Now the question is how? Good thing www.e-florist-inc.com came to help. I ordered flowers as fast as I can upon seeing this lavender sunset bouquet. Of course I saw other flowers merely as beautiful, but a find my poetic calling on this one – so blue, in full blossom, like the words of the poem was already written inside my heart.
